Jennifer Kalman and Emily Wilson both studied Architecture at Dalhousie University. They founded their multi-disciplinary design practice in 2020, bringing together their combined experience to craft beautiful products and small spaces that uncover the joy in the everyday. Their aim is to work with materials in a way that brings forth their innate qualities, creating tactile experiences that connect people to the places they inhabit.

For IDS Vancouver 2023, Man & Son Design will be presenting a collection of wood and ceramic lighting forms developed through rapid iteration and prototyping. The series will include one-of-a-kind pendants, wall sconces, and table lamps, combining a hand-crafted aesthetic with a sense of exploration and play. In addition, we will be displaying some of our custom furniture pieces including a bookshelf and coffee table. Using locally-sourced and reclaimed materials, everything will be made by hand in our small workshop.
