Jak Natural Designs
Elevate your surroundings with the timeless elegance of wabi-sabi inspired wood vases and wall sculptures. Using timber that has been ethically and responsibly sourced, bring the beauty of nature into your space with sustainable luxury.
Jackie Chapman is a Canadian artist giving new life to wood that would otherwise be forgotten through a combination of woodturning and hand-carving.
Her one-woman studio, ‘Jak. Natural Designs’, is based in the remote mountains of Interior British Columbia, Canada and Jackie’s work is an intimate reflection of her surroundings. Heavily inspired by the natural world, her designs are an elegant union of organic, modern and abstract.
Focusing on the beautiful intricacies of collectible design, the IDS Vancouver exhibit will spotlight a variety of wood vases and abstract wall sculptures, all unique one-off pieces that strive to invoke emotion, spark curiosity and arouse conversation.
The recently launched Wall Sculpture Collection is a concept of bringing the serenity of nature indoors and by using the features present in the wood to explore and highlight the tree’s previous journey, Jackie’s creations symbiotically tell their story as well as her own.’
