Emily Wilson is showcasing the YYJ Chair as part of the Prototype Feature in IDS Vancouver 2022.

Emily is one half of Man & Son Design, a women-led design duo based in Victoria, BC. Founded in 2020, their multi-disciplinary practice brings together their combined experience in architectural and furniture design to craft beautiful products and small spaces that uncover the joy in the everyday. Their aim is to work with materials in a way that brings forth their innate qualities, creating tactile experiences that connect people to the places they inhabit.

Jennifer Kalman and Emily Wilson both studied Architecture at Dalhousie University. With a background in psychology, Jennifer brings an understanding of the human experience and how it is shaped by the built environment. As a craftsperson, Emily brings a keen eye for detail and ability to see a project from sketch to reality, a process which she finds endlessly rewarding.
