About Corbel Adjustable Side Table:
“Capella Design makes assistive furniture for people who want to be empowered in their spaces without the stigma of clinical and unsightly healthcare products. Corbel is a modern side table with an adjustable swing arm that allows users to easily position the moveable tray and push it away when needed. This overbed / over couch table design is an alternative to the ugly, bulky, and clinical wheeling tables currently on the market. Capella worked with an Occupational Therapist / Gerontologist to identify important clinical features of overbed/overcouch tables and include them in a redesigned furniture piece. The tray arm is height adjustable and the panel that sits against the couch, chair, or bed hides a wedge system that stabilizes the table. Corbel is made from North American sourced hardwood with matte black powder coated steel hardware. As part of our commitment to sustainability, Capella will continue to source as locally as possible even in future production runs of this product. We understand that beyond modern and empowering design features, sustainable sourcing is also an opportunity to ignite change in the way we design for aging and disability.”
