Edwina Liao

Edwina Liao‘s design work entitled “Pole to Pole” will be featured in IDS Vancouver’s fan-favorite Prototype group juried exhibition.

Prototype is located next to the Studio North section in the south west corner of the show floor.

About Pole to Pole:

The table and chair, meant to facilitate new memories and stories. They can be assembled and disassembled, shared between spaces. Removing the unfamiliarity within these spaces and encouraging interaction and collaboration, bringing people together in a shared experience.
Pole to Pole consists of modular poles connected using traditional joinery and secured in place through cord tensioning. These design elements create a durable structure that can withstand repeated assembly and disassembly. And the form blend effortlessly into any environment, both indoor and outdoor, creating a sense of familiarity.
Pole to Pole encourages us to rediscover the joy of spontaneity and living in the moment. By engaging with these structures repeatedly, we can create a space that fosters meaningful connections and supports an engaging lifestyle”
